Wiz Khalifa Makes a Music Video Based On Sonic The Hedgehog

Wiz Khalifa, Lil Yachty, Sueco the Child, as well as Ty Dolla Sign develop a Sonic motivated song called, “Speed Me Up,” which ties into Paramount Pictures’ upcoming live-action Sonic the Hedgehog motion picture. Let’s not put this video on a pedestal, but this video is just flat out awesome. The video opens with Wiz Khalifa blowing right into a Sonic game cartridge for the Sega Genesis– something you definitely should not do– before tumbling onto a couch in the middle of a weird, empty space to play.

He’s then delivered to the pixelated world of Sonic the Hedgehog, partnering with Sonic and his fellow rap artists to accumulate rings, jam out in Sonic’s room, and tackle the bad Dr. Robotnik, played by a pixelated Jim Carrey. As Sonic, Wiz Khalifa, Lil Yachty, as well as others run throughout numerous spaces and running lanes, clips from the motion picture intermittently play.
